Testimonials

“I’ve met the greatest and most dear of friends through Kix 4 Chix, Ladies Only Kickboxing. It’s assisted me in discovering myself again and is the sole reason behind me regaining the confidence I’ve so needed. It’s a fantastic place to be yourself with no judgment, and to learn how to defend yourself.”

“What makes kickboxing different? To put it simply, it’s addictive. There is something so physically raw about standing in front of a heavy bag and being able to punch and kick with enough strength that you know you could knock down a bull moose if you had to.”

“What a rush! Men really wouldn’t understand it from a woman’s perspective. Unlike men, who were raised to hit things with gusto, women just don’t have it in them. Or so we think! Kickboxing is one of the most physiologically empowering things that a woman can do. Not only do you learn to punch and kick, you learn self-defense far beyond what you ever thought possible.”

“No matter how out of shape you are or what age you are, it brings women to a level of self esteem you will not find in many places. Most of the members will tell you how it has improved their confidence, their health and their entire outlook on life. The camaraderie between the ladies is a large part of the programs success. This in itself allows you to push yourself beyond your limitations each and every class.”

“And what about me? Two years later, I’ve lost 25 pounds, kickbox 3 times a week, run 10 to 15 kilometers a week, and I’m in better shape at 48 than I have been in my entire life.”

“Where to begin…..Kickboxing has given me me back. It has made me a better person, I now know who I am and Who I want to be. It has shown me my strengths and my weaknesses and I have the ability through knowing who I am now to accept these attributes.

Kickboxing started out as a way of getting fit, but little did I know how much a part of my life it would become. I am addicted. I have finally found something that I am accepted at. Women are amazing, we are strong and as a group we are even stronger. I have formed so many amazing friendships through working out with these girls that I consider them my family. I look forward to classes for the new experiences I get, every class I go to is a gift in my day. Kickboxing is a mental, physical, and emotional workout. It is a complete workout any way you look at it.”

“I’ve worked out at the gym, at home, and outside, but the experience I’ve had with the Kix 4 Chix has been unique. The workout is incredible and the relationships I’ve developed are invaluable, I look forward to my time there. I’ve trained at the dojo for about 18 months and feel a sense of control and confidence that I haven’t gotten from other workouts, the kickboxing teaches you self defense while exercising your body to the fullest. Do you think that you’re not a punchy person and that this kind of workout isn’t for you? I suggest you give it a try because that’s what I used to think and now I love it. See you there.”

“I love ‘Ladies Only’ Kickboxing (Kix 4 Chix). At first, I was afraid to go, but once I tried it I was hooked. The ladies are all very friendly and I have never been made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome, ever, by anyone. Kickboxing is an excellent combination of cardio and strength building exercises with the added bonus of self defense techniques (moves). On top of all that, it’s FUN!!”

“For me kickboxing is a great exercise for my mind and body. It always leaves me feeling a sense of accomplishment. I love that it is such a great workout for such a low cost. It is a great way to get into shape and lose weight (with good eating habits). Kickboxing helped me to realize my potential, and find the you that may have been lost along the way.

Not only do I feel better about myself, but I have met some great friends along the way. They have become part of my extended family. They are all very supportive and there is never any judgments about your thoughts or the way you look.

The most important thing is to find something that you do for yourself and love. I would strongly urge you to try kickboxing, no matter what your body type or age. I guarantee you will be very surprised at what it has to offer.”

“Kickboxing, to me, is nothing short of a miracle. It has changed my life by creating change in not only my physical but also in my emotional and mental states. I have been living with an eating disorder for many years and I was obsessed with my appearance and constantly monitored my weight as well as my calorie intake. The disease simply ate me away. I always knew that I was strong enough to fight it but the daily struggles remained. The day I started going to kickboxing, I gained a whole new kind of confidence. I don’t allow the eating disorder to control my life anymore…I control my life and now I literally kick and punch all of these bad emotions away. Kix 4 Chix has given me myself back and I am learning to love myself for who I am.”

“Kickboxing has been a life changing experience for me in such a positive way.

I feel utterly blessed to be part of something so wonderful and fulfilling. Kickboxing has renewed my spirit and given me energy, strength and confidence again! I love the motivation, encouragement and sense of accomplishment I feel each time I walk out those doors. It’s one of the few things that I have just for me, as I’m sure a lot of other Moms feel the same. I’ve lost inches and gained some wonderful friendships with some truly amazing women in these classes, some of whom I know I will be life long friends with. It’s also a huge stress relief for me too – there’s something to be said about punching and kicking the crap out of something that just makes a person feel invigorated!”

“When I first thought about joining kickboxing, I was very nervous because I am not a quitter and I didn't know if I could physically do it. The first step was the hardest, but Nicole helped me along and has never given up on me. She inspires me in a lot of ways. I have been coming to Kix4chix for just over a year and I have loved every minute of it. When I'm at home I crave going for a good workout. Nicole has helped me become in the best shape I have ever been in. I am so much more emotionally stable and I thrive to take care of my self better. Kix4chix has also given me some amazing friends and I love Nicole and Jen too for pushing me to where I didn't think I could go. I feel better and I look better and its thanks to Kix4chix for that. Thanks for never giving up on me and keeping me on track. I never thought in a million years that after just one year there would be this much change on the inside and out. It makes me feel like I am a better person and Mom for my boys and wife for my husband. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for making me always feel at home at KIX4CHIX.”

“So I thought about it and I realized, all of the results from attending Kix 4 Chix are positive results. I get to vent my frustrations by kicking and punching the snot out of a bag (a stuffed one, not real) which results in a calmer more mellow D. I have seen my physique change for the better which gives me pride in myself for my efforts. I have seen myself improve in strength and technique which has improved my self confidence. I have made many friends which has improved my self esteem.
I've been attending classes for about two and a half years now and I watch women starting out new, out of shape and discouraged as I was at first. But in a very short time I see them enjoying the same benefits I listed above. It is very rewarding to see the same positive results in the other women in the classes. I feel happy for them because I know what it took for them to accomplish what they have done. Just another perk!”
